last night i slept in an igloo

That's right! My homeade igloo! Whahoo! I was miserable.

But, at least I can say that i did it!

I first lit a few candles in the igloo, and that warmed it up a bit, but at about 3:00 a.m, It was back to freezing. I mean, you're in an ice box!

So anyways, if you wanted to know how much of a nut I really am... there you go.

Yesterday, we also had a bunch of guys over, and we played some really good airsoft! It was the best, most brutal, behind-kickin' war ever. It would match WWII!

So I'll tell a few stories, just 'cause they're fun:
Clay (a dude with a full automatic machine gun) was shooting at a barricade, where my team was pinned down. I had a very good vantage point... right behind Clay. Athough I was still quite far away. So I strapped on my rockets, and flew towards him. We were probably a hundred feet away from eachother when I started shooting (I had a gas pistol with .2 gram shots). It took Clay a second to realize me, but when he did, he turned and set his full automatic on me. I continuued running at him. And he continued shooting. I unloaded my full clip at him! And he was shooting at me like crazy, and we both didn't get hit! What!?!

(and here's the bravest scene i saw) Kole was behind our "tower", with his sniper rifle, when Nathan made a charge with his wimpy-miniture-sized-machine-gun-that-couldn't-go-30-feet. Kole was shooting his SNIPER gun at him while Nathan came around to the other side of the tower, which was exposed... And ended up killing Kole.

Pretty fun stuff! And that there in the picture is me unleashing my mad-skills.
God bless you!

Wow, an igloo?!?!!! Reminds me of a few days ago when a few siblings and I slept in the barn (we THOUGHT that our cow was calving but she wasn't;)...I wasn't too cold though because 1) I had TONS of clothes on, 2) I was in straw and 3) the dog was next to me!!!

    Way to try something new:)

I'm sorry but sleeping in side is just to warm and lovely! I'm glad you made it though!

  1. Wow, it looks cold and not safe. We made one, but it is not as big.

Wow, that looks so fun!! I mean, I would never airsoft or sleep in an igloo, but.... ;) Weren't you afraid it would collapse on you?!

Glad you all tried it... now I feel pressured to do it since I have 3ish ft of it to mess around with. :) One tip though: snow is an amazing insulator. If you made the roof out of snow (or piled a lot of snow on top of whatever it is you used as a roof) and closed up the opening (leaving a small airhole), it would be warmer. Of course, you have humidity, and I don't know if that would affect anything, but you get what I mean. :) Have fun in that Snow. I think you stole it from us. We are way behind this year. :)
