PUR'POSE, n. [L. propositum, propono; pro, before, and pono, to set or place.]

1. That which a person sets before himself as an object to be reached or accomplished; the end or aim to which the view is directed in any plan, measure or exertion. We believe the Supreme Being created intelligent beings for some benevolent and glorious purpose, and if so, how glorious and benevolent must be His purpose in the plan of redemption!

You might have noticed, but I changed the songs on my music player, so you can check it out.

My favorite songs on there are:

Fall in Line - by Seven Places
and
Go Hard - by Lecrae

(more of) oBNoXiouS!

Hey, I've got an oBNoXiouS idea and I'd love for anyone and everyone to participate in!
(especially if you've got... talents)

Okay, so here's the idea...
If we had a few good musicians and a few people who could write (which a lot o' you girls like to do...) then BAM, weve got something.

So, If you write a song, I will put it to music (or someone else can) and we might come out with something!
I know, it's embarrassing and all... but hey, this has the ability to be something really cool!

(And then again, if no one participates, then this could just be a really dumb, oBNoXiouS, idea.)

But we might be able to get a good song out of it, ya know.

And, for a bonus... no matter how dumb the final song we made would be, I will film myself singing it; and post it right here. (probably)

So whenever you write up some lrycis, send them to me! (my email is on my profile).

Rules:
It has to be "Jesus Music". Decide for yourself what that means.

Or if you would like to help me put lryics to tunes, then send me an email.

Letss go!

National Convention!!

So, I'm going to National Convention this year!! It's coming up and I'm so excited!!

NC is an alumni event for people who have taken the TeenPact State Class.

And, I'm on Luke's ultimate Frisbee team!! I am all hyped-out, getting in shape, chuckin' the frisbee good and stuff... yeah buddy...

You all like frisbee?

Maybe I'll get up some pictures next time we practice together.

I'm also working on a few chants/cheers that are pretty good!

We might end up being the "teens for orphans' team" and have people sponsor us for every game we win (good fund raiser, huh?). Anyways, check out this cheer, it rocks!!

Teens for orphans yeah that's our cause!!
Everybody excited, now raise your awms!! (raise your awms, raise your awms)
Everybody excited, now raise your awms!!

(btw, awms is "arms")

Fun huh? I am pumped!

(changing subject)

Btw. Have any of ya'll every help out with a political campaign? Right now, I'm helping Jim Holt get to U.S. Senate; I took off of school last week and washed his used signs (all week) and I still have more to do! I guess I'm like his biggest fan that he doesn't know of. But that's okay, because I didn't know I was his biggest fan until last week.

Have a great Monday!

The thing about our culture is that they "dumb-down" many good ideas. Most of them are really crazy ideas. But does that mean we shouldn't entrust them to God?

For myself, I can tell you that I've had thousands of crazy ideas, and just for an ice-breaker, I'll tell you some really crazy ones:
1. I wanted to participate in an Iron Man... a marathon (like 26 miles) a swim (2.5 miles long) and a biking (125 miles long)... uh yeah...
2. I wanted to try kick-boxing. I mean, who doesn't right? That one didn't last long.
3. I wanted to start an organization called Teens for Orphans International.
4. I wanted to be an underwater welder. (Hey, it's a great idea... they make a lot of money!)
5. I wanted to run for President at Teenpact National Convention this year.

Okay, after I just made a fool of myself... let's move on!

God uses people who have an obnoctious vision for Him; and who are fool enough to carry it out.

So here's my question... Who here has had a crazy idea? Whether a spiritual one or not... I want to hear it! In fact, I want you to email me, so that I can help you with that crazy idea!

I don't want to see any of God's children demobilized, dumbed, or discouraged.

God gives you those crazy ideas for a reason guys! And that's how God gets glory people! I mean, if David was 10 feet tall, 500 pounds, ripped, and all decked out with weapons... where would the glory go to when he took out Goliath? It would go to him! But, David was like 15, 5' 6', 130 pounds, and he had a rock in a sling. Huh. Where did the glory go then when he knocked Goliath on his bum? It went straight to God guys!

God gets glory when ridiculously amazing things happen in His name.

And guess what? One of those things I mentioned above... I have actually carried out! I am an underwater welder now!!!! Naw... actually I started Teens for Orphans. Gotch'a.

So please, comment and tell me some of your ridiculous ideas!! Or email me If you are serious.

Please!!
I want to see my generation doing ridiculously obnoxious things for Jesus!!

110% sold-out

You lived among the least of these
The weary and the weak
And it would be a tragedy for me to turn away.

All my needs you have supplied.
When i was dead you gave me life.
How could i not give it away so freely?

And i`ll follow you into the homes that are broken.
Follow you into the world.
Meet the needs for the poor and the needy, God.
Follow you into the world.

Use my hands use my feet
To make your kingdom come

Through the corners of the earth
Until your work is done

`Cause faith without works is dead
And on the cross your blood was shed
So how could i not give it away so freely?

And i`ll follow you into the homes that are broken.
Follow you into the world.
Meet the needs for the poor and the needy, God.
Follow you into the world.
(x2)

I give all myself!
Lord, I give all myself!
And I give all myself to you!
"Follow you"
-Leeland

Hey ya'll, thats what it means to be a rebel: "following Jesus into the world". This is what It means to be sold-out: "giving all of yourself". Does that mean that everyone should be a missionary? Nope, but every Christian should give their all. Itz soo tough.

One way to "give yourself" is to go to teens4orphans.org and take the fifty dollar challenge. Another way is by dedication in prayer. Prayer is an awesome way to make a difference. You can also join the prayer team at teens4orphans.org. But these are just two ways to empower you to live110% sold out. Another way would be to make your own TfO team in your state, (go to teens4orphans.org).

You get the point?

soo true...

I mean, can we just quit it and start loving people? It's real trouble when churches and individuals are not showing love the way Jesus did. This is funny, sad, and soo true.

just to clear up some confusion...

Thus the egg.

my favorite food, and egg

Hey I'm doing this thing at Hannah's blog... and the theme is... favorite foods!

My favorite food is probably pizza. or pasta. like spaghetti or something. very interesting, I know...

But that's not all I'm going to leave you with, may it never be that I bored you!!

So.. check out my easter egg!

Cool, huh?

I wonder how an egg could be rebellious? Sounds cool though! Maybe it is a rebel because all the other eggs are just eaten, but my egg is rebelling against the egg culture and tradition because it was painted and won't be eaten? tada!

Well, whatever else it is... it's a reminder for me (and now you).

Ya'll paint any eggs? What did they say? Something traditional or something? like "He is risen"? Aw well, don't feel to bad about it. Next year you can be a rebel too.  haha.

The cool thing is... that Jesus died on Good Friday, rebelliously. And then He rose three days later, rebelliously. Haha! (i mean, it's not exactly tradition to be raised from the dead, ya know...)

Have you every struggled with the word:
                                         Purpose?
Chances are that you have. Probably everyone has at one time or another. In fact, you might even be struggling right now with what your purpose is in life.

I'll tell you what it's not: A white-picket fence, a nice house, three cars, 2.5 kids and a dog.

Sounds good, but "if that's the high life, I'll puff puff pass that". I mean really, God's purpose for you is much more than that!                                                      -Lecrae

I'm not going to lie to you, the world can offer you much, but hoho, not nearly enough for me. Ya know!?

Don't waste your life chasing the American Dream! (or the London dream, *wink at Ryan*) It's gone in a moment, it's only a vapor! Are you doing things now that will matter in eternity, when this vapor has puffed its last poof?

I can't tell you how much I want to make my life matter! How much I want to represent Christ.
And it's hard.

If you are unsure about where you fit in God's purpose, please read Live life on Purpose!

"I so much want to see a generation raised up that is on fire to proclaim Christ among the nationsFearless rebels, renegades, and outlaws taking on the culture, showing love to all, become servents, being made new every day by His Spirit, and living their lives on purpose!"

Go here to buy the book. The book is $17, but if you type in "LIVELIFE"  in the promo-code-box you can get it for just $5. Don't have five bucks? I would love to buy the book for you when I get some money, so just send me and email.

And I really want to be featured, I mean, who doesn't right?

But what does Lynette make you do to be featured? She attaches strings!! She makes this really-girly-blog-button that she says to put on on my blog! And even then... she might feature you!

For so long I have resisted!!

*sigh*

So where's the button? I mean, you know I took it, come on!

Hoho, you'll have to scroll all the way to the bottom to see it! Wuut! I haven't given in entirely!

So, when you see that flowery-blog-button, just feel for me, ya know?
Hey, it's my man badge! (that i wear prouldy... at the bottom)

just so you know, Lynette does have a really cool blog, and she's pretty funny to read somtimes, so go ahead and click on that button... at the bottom!!

Praise God that Jesus conquered death, and is alive today!

Otherwise...

"...If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised... If from human motives I fought with wild beasts at Ephesus, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, LET US EAT AND DRINK, FOR TOMORROW WE DIE..."

But haha, he is risen!...

TOP SECRET: the purpose of your life

WARNING: the devil really does not want you to learn what you are about to learn.
No, really, when you think about it; he would love for you to be oblivious to this knowledge.

"Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is.
Missions exists because worship doesn’t. Worship is ultimate, not missions, because God is ultimate, not man… Worship, therefore, is the fuel and goal of missions. It’s the goal of missions because in missions we simply aim to bring the nations into the white-hot enjoyment of God’s glory. The goal of missions is the gladness of the peoples in the greatness of God… Missions begins and ends in worship."
-John Piper "Let the Nations be Glad"

You see, missions won't last forever. Once we're in heaven, there will be no one else to evangelize! But we will be worshipping Him forever; there will be no end of that. But, while we are here on this Earth; worship Him and don't miss out on this one-time opportunity to proclaim Jesus among the nations... and among your own family.

"Fall In Line" -Seven Places

If you're sitting down on your feet
Let's wake up those who are asleep
March on, left to right to left again
Our feet in sync to this rhythm
Conducted by the hand of the saving one

Report, fall in line, big mission with little time
Salute, stand tall, with one voice answer the call

Hear us, say Jesus (x2)

Where are we while the world caves in?
Are we showing love or hate, are we enemy or friend?
What was, black and white has now turned grey
Let's right this world with love today.
Stand our ground with a helping hand

Hear us, say Jesus (x2)

So sing it out now, with one voice loud and clear
Sing Hallelujah, for our Redemption's near (x2)

It's time for us to stand up and speak the truth of His love
It's time to let the world know we've got something to say (we got something to say)
It's time for us to lift our hands until the world understands
Jesus the reigning King is alive and well today.
