5 interesting thoughts about Jesus

1. Jesus was pretty cool. He probably wore Aviators.

2. He had a good-sense of humor. (unlike the movies)

3. He was middle-eastern. Not American. (i think this fact is hilarious) 

4. He didn't wear white all the time. (again, unlike the movies)

5. He probably got into a few fights in school to protect all the pretty girls. 

Kind'a interesting, huh? I'm open to debate any of these if you don't agree with them! In fact, I might even be wrong, because I can't say exactly what Jesus was like.

    All in all, I only agree with number 2 and 4! And the first part of number 1, but they probably used a different word because I don't think that the word "cool" was invented in the way that we use it. ;)

    1)If "cool" means "hip", probably not. Define "cool".
    5) Why would he proctect just the pretty girls? Is Jesus a respecter of persons?

    Ummm..... Fighting is wrong (or a sin) and Jesus was perfect! I find that one completely inaccurate.

    Uh, yeah, I guess leaving it at "cool" wouldn't help, I just meant that He was smooth, witty, clever, etc. Sorry chaps. (the aviators thing was a joke, my bad)

    I'm glad everyone agrees with 2.

    Hannah, why don't you agree with 3? That's a bit odd. I'm guessing that you overlooked that one. No worries.

    Good job on number 4. Score another one for me.

    And now the 5th. I knew this one would be debatable. Okay, I didn't mean JUST the pretty girls, sorry. Let's change it to "people". You're a tough person Anyomous, thanks for clarifing a few things!

    If you think that "defending" is wrong though, than I can't help you.

    To reassure you Kade, fighting isn't a sin. If behaviour considered violent (basically fighting) is a sin what about when Jesus turned over the money-changers' tables and drove everyone out with a whip. He wasn't all the 'tender Jesus, meek and mild' softly, softly, 'I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings' person he is so often made out to be. As John MacArthur recently wrote 'JC is not PC.' The question we must ask of our own aggression is 'what fuels this': is it righteousness or something else?

    yeah i agree with them all (even the aviators :D) except that i'm sure that Jesus protected even the ugly girls whether they were at school or not... :)
    Good thoughts, Ryan. That's something that Lord has really been revealing to me recently that He is an emotional Being that does get angry. And I cannot think of this reference to save my life, but somewhere didn't God (or Christ) say to be angry but sin not... i don't think any of that made the profound sense that i was hoping it would...

    I love them all! And I agree with all of the other commenters.

    I always forget about #3. I think a lot of us picture Him as this white guy with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone know where that image came from?

    I think all of them are correct, except for the part about the aviators. I don't really like aviators. But maybe I'm just a nut, maybe he did.
