homey's back from teen pack
Posted: Jan 29, 2010 by Kade inWell, last night we got back from Teenpact. It was just about the coolest thing EVER. If you've never done it, I would look it up and seriously consider going to one!
I met about 60 really, really, cool people, and that was the best part about Teenpact (for me). On the way back home, Pastor Dave asked, "define cool?" We answered, "Awesome." Yeah, it's kind'a hard to explain, but the guys and girls there were definitely awesome!
Here's the favorite I met, you ready? Sammy, Joann, Abigael, Mary Beth, James, Jeremiah, Jeremiah, Nathan, Mitchell, Hannah, Rebecka, Ethan, Zach, Cade, Sara, Adrian, Will, David, David, Jonathon, Jonathon, Amanda, Kyle, Anna Kate, Valen, Nathaniel, John David, etc.
And here's the people I got to know better:
Nathan, Luke, Kole, Charles, John, Arther, Sara, Daniel, Drew, Johnny... and Kade.
So, how's the TfO website!?! I've got quite a few emails from the contact form on the site, and people seemed to be rather hyped about it. I'll tell you, I sure am hyped about it!
I'll be back! God bless you! And if anyone from Teenpact is reading this be sure and comment I would love to hear from you!
p.s. my mad-skills didn't go over to well. especially during basketball! the all-star-triplet-team put me in my place. but it was fun anyway. (the only thing worse than getting beat by three girls is being beat by one) (and that happened) (thrice).
the long awaited release... is HERE!!
Posted: Jan 24, 2010 by Kade inAlright, you ready for this one?
teens4orphans.org!!!!
It doesn't get better than that! Is anybody ready for this, huh? Is anyone 'cept me excited about this? Check it out!
So... I'm going to be gone at Teenpact all week and I want YOU to spread the word, 'cause I won't be here to do it!
God bless TfO!
And goodbye!
Extraordinary Measures

Hey, I saw this trailer and watched it, and it looked really good! Anybody know more about this movie?
Not only does it have Harrison Ford in it, but it has a song by NEEDTOBREATHE. Now that's what I'm talking about!
God bless!
TfO
Posted: Jan 22, 2010 by Kade inWell, Teens for Orphans International (TfO) is coming along wonderfully! After a lot of trouble trying to find out how we were going to get our organization registered with our state, our pastor told us that we could just do the organization through our church! So... Teens for Orphans International is a ministry of Faith Journey. Like it? I know you do!
We're going to try and get the website all set up and stuff before we head off to teenpact, so be checking back in a few days for the releasing of the website!
One quick question... (not really) when I release the website, how fast are you guys going to spread the word? I'm talking about speading a few hours clicking on your follower's blogs, and then posting comments that say, check out TfO. Or maybe, if you've go like 100 followers, then you could just do a post pointing everybody to the website! I will also have four buttons that you may use to promote the website, you could give them out to all of your followers, just pick the one you like best! Either way! And if you don't like my buttons, you could creat your own, and pass it out! At teenpact I've heard that there are a lot of mature, godly, teenagers, so I'm gonna be spreading the word about TfO there, by giving out (handmade) bumber-stickers and handouts!
r u gonna help?
God bless you and TfO.
teenpact
Posted: Jan 21, 2010 by Kade inSo I've been super busy this past week preparing for... Teenpact! Yeah! Don't know what it is? Neither do I... Some friends somehow persuaded me to sign up!
Anyways, there's a lot of homework you have to do before going for their week-long class, and I've got to finish up pretty quick, because Teenpact is next week!
goodness gracious!
btw. that guy in picture is not me. just wanted to fool you for a second. :)
gotta live like we're dying
Posted: Jan 20, 2010 by Kade inhere's a great song talking about making the most of your time!
yeah... gotta start
lookin' at the hand of the time we've been given here
this is all we go, and we gotta start pickin' it
every second counts on a clock that's tickin'
gotta live like we're dying
we only got
86 400 seconds in the day
to turn it all around or throw it all away
gotta show 'em that we love 'em while we got the chance to say
gotta live like were dying
You know something that's funny? This song says that we gotta 'live like we're dying'. But the truth is that we are dying! We are all getting closer to death.
"Life is just the process of death."
-Kade Woodell
Yeah, you can quote me... :)
Alright! So maybe it's not that drastic! But what will you do with your life? The good ol' Bible says that life is a vapor. It's here and then gone. But I'm not going to keep boring you... go out and do something!
"Pretend like you're dying, and live!"
-Kade Woodell
wow, that's two in a row... God bless
perspectives and rap
Posted: Jan 19, 2010 by Kade inTonight I will be going to my second "Perspectives" class. Last Tuesday, we went to the first class because it was free, but after that class I was hitched! (after I got my Dad to spot-me) and so now I'm going and I think It's going to be real good! You can find out more about the class by going to their website, perspectives.org. But I know you won't go there, because who cares about the class that I'm going to take, right? :)
So I'm not going to leave this post empty like that. (that's what i was gonna do) But now, after much thought, I decided to show you guys a rap song that I wrote! haha
I actually wrote this song after the first class we took! Perspectives' theme verse is Rev. 7:9. So here's the song based off of that verse! (and when you read it, you have to think of someone singing it with a really deep voice, otherwise, this song will have no effect). :)
Rev. 7:9 (all cryin' out)
after this i looked and behold, a great multitude that no one could number
(yeah, no one could numb'a)
from every nation (every nation)
all tribes (all tribes)
an' peoples (an' peoples)
an' languages (an' languages)
standin' before the throne- the lamb
clothed in white robes
wit' branches in their hands
an' all crying out
(yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
(repeat four times)
you made a promise, and i know that you'll keep it
that from every tribe, yeah your glory? you'll reap it
i wanna be part o' yo' book, so here we go,
(here we go, here we go, i'm gonna go!)
(repeat the chorus another four times)
an' no slowin' down!
gonna rock this town!
God be with us as we go!
even if we die, gonna go! (gonna go!)
(repeat the chorus yet another four times)
God bless!
seeing through his eyes
Posted: Jan 18, 2010 by Kade inI think Brandon Heath does a good job 'summing it up'!
God bless you! (man, if i keep saying 'God bless you' every time i post, then you guys will get a whole lot o' blessin'! so keep coming back!)
problems with adding my blog to google
Posted: Jan 17, 2010 by Kade inhey! i've been having trouble adding my blog to my 'google home page' maybe you have too? well (with some help from my padre) I fixed it. So if you click that thing that says "+google" right there ----->
on the sidebar it put it up for you and hopefully it'll be easier to read my posts.
comin' along
Posted: by Kade inTeens for Orphans International is coming along! But I was going to ask you guys if you could pray for us, I just came over a little road block (money wise). But hey, I may have the money by tomorrow!
Keep me and the organization in your prayers, we are going to need them!
i am a po-et, and you did not know-it
Posted: Jan 15, 2010 by Kade inSo I stole this from someone else and changed it up a bit, but I still like it! Sometimes we can struggle with the question "what is my purpose?" Maybe you're going through that question right now! If so, this one is for you.
Teens for Orphans International
Posted: Jan 13, 2010 by Kade inAlright, here we go! That's the idea!
In the world there are over 143 million orphans, and in Myanmar alone, there are over 70,000! (And what will we do about it?) Well, our twenty-ten (2010) goal is to raise enough money to build an orphanage in Myanmar and support it! Yeah! We also want to send teens on short-term mission trips to Myanmar to "visit orphans... in distress" (James 1:27). We want to go out to them... to show the love of Christ!
Anybody excited about this idea? Or am I just hearing my own echos? Would you want to be a part of this organization? Would you give your money to this idea? Would you give ALL your money to it? Hmm? I'd like to hear what you've got to say! (so I know that I'm not a nut...)
I'm not goning to post tomorrow, because I want everyone to see this and comment! And hey, I'm not done with the website, we are still taking ideas! spit 'em out!
God bless Teens for Orphans International!
follow you, and what's comin' tomorrow!
Posted: Jan 12, 2010 by Kade ini put up a new song of the side bar, it's follow you by leeland. Please listen to it!
and just wanted to let you know that tomorrow, I will be releasing the idea of the organization! I won't be releasing the website, because it is still unfinished. And I've still got to do a lot of things before that! But I will be asking for some feedback! So please, come back, tomorrow!
May the song on the side-bar bring you to tears!
Livin' it
Posted: Jan 11, 2010 by Kade inJust wanted to share with you guys a few thoughts from Pastor's message yesterday.
His message was titled: Being Jesus to the World in 2010, and it was a great message for the 'Fighters of 2010'. The 'main idea was that we need to be living what we teach! The unbelieving world looks at Christian's as puffed up people who think they're better than they really are! Not as self-sacrificing servants! That is a huge problem! So when people look at your life, do they see Jesus? When Jesus died for us, and then accended into heaven, he left us to carry out his work! God uses his believers to impact the world, have you ever thought about that?
So our pastor had 5. 'points', but I'll only share with you the last three:
3. Showing good works, not just saying good words.
4. Go and be the church, not just come and see the church. (wahoo, I love that one!)
5. Inspiring a community, not just inhabiting the corner. (this means that we are not to just be sitting in our building, we need to be reaching out to people!)
So I'll end with this last thought that Pastor Dave gave:
"We need to go out with the good news in one hand, and good works in the other."
may God bless you big time!
Again
Posted: Jan 9, 2010 by Kade ina bunch of teenagers + a passion for mission + orphans = ?
Just wanted to share two verses with you guys:
James 1:27 27 Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
Ephasains 5:8 for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light
(for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.
til tomorrow
im just gonna keep doing this
Posted: Jan 8, 2010 by Kade inAlright, I'm going to tell you more about 'the organization', just 'cause you all said you would pray for me. Ready? What is
a lot of teens + a passion for missions =
I'll ad to the equation later, but that's just another teaser. whahahahaha, I know you're excited. But the excitement hasn't even begun yet! You'll just have to keep coming back to my blog! Wait till I release the address to the website, can you just imagine the fun!? WHAMO! BAM! KICHOW!
You'll see...
adios' amigos
a little more info
Posted: Jan 7, 2010 by Kade inJust want to ask for a few prayers. I already told you about the website I'm creating, and now I'll give you a little more information... Josh and I are starting an organization! But, things are diffucult, and I just wanted you pray that the Lord will bless me and my work, and that we would see some great things come out of it!
Yes, I'm still going to be mysterious...
God bless you all,
p.s. you don't have to make this "top of the list prayer request", save that for something else, but I would appreciate your prayers!
come and get it!
Posted: Jan 5, 2010 by Kade inSo this goes to Nikki, Ryan, Melanine, David, Alyssa, Bekah, Hannah, Izori, Adri, Kevin, Amy, Chloe, Kaleb, Nicole, Josh, Joshua, Jenna, Rachael, Madison, and Erin!
the loser (behind it all)
Posted: Jan 4, 2010 by Kade inFirst of all, I'd like to tell you all why I decided to name my blog 'the loser'. Yes, you know the verse on the side-bar, but there's also a song by Switchfoot that I was inspired by. Great song, I wish I could put it up with the other songs, but the thing wouldn't let me!
So... I'll at least put up the lryics for now:
the loser
by switchfoot
Only the losers win
They've got nothing to prove
They'll leave the world with nothing to lose
You can
Laugh at the weirdos now
Wait till wrongs are right
They'll be the ones with nothing to hide
(Chorus)
‘Cause I’ve been thinking, thinking
I've got a plan to lose it all
I've got a contract pending on eternity
If I haven't already given it away
I've got a plan to lose it all
I've been the burnout kid
I've been the idiot
I'll turn the other cheek to be hit
You can
Take what you want from me
Empty me till I’m depleted
I'll be around if I’m ever needed
(Chorus again)
I wrote this song for you
To show how I’m selling out
I'll take the benefit of the doubt
Because I've been thinking, thinking
I've got a plan to lose it all
I've got a contract pending on eternity
If I haven't already given it away
I've got a plan to lose it all
I've got a plan to lose it all
I've got a plan to lose it all
What a great song! And have you got a plan to lose it all?
God Bless You All! And may you too be a loser!
Kade
Thank you so much David, Alyssa, Bekah, Hannah, Izori, Adri, Kevin, Amy, Chloe, Kaleb, Nicole, Josh, Joshua, Jenna, Rachael, Madison, and Erin, for following! May God bless you extra! if that works...
Big Things
Posted: Jan 3, 2010 by Kade inHey, just wanted to let you guys know that BIG THINGS are happening!
And you're like "what things?" Well, I'm going to be mysterious, on purpose, (to get you interested) but I will give you two hints:
1. Josh and I have brainstormed up a storm, and it's coming!
2. I just spent 50 George Washingtons on a web-site that I'm going to be making in the next few days.
Glad you like the "Fighter of 2010" award/button thing! I'll be giving that out later, and I think I'll offer it to all my followers. And NO ONE ELSE! And if you are one of my followers, you may pass it out as much as you want.
God Bless You!
Fighters of 2010. I need some feed.
Posted: Jan 2, 2010 by Kade inI got quite a response from you guys saying that you were also ready to "take 2010". That's awesome!!! So I've been thinking about "getting organize" if you know what I mean. Maybe start praying for believers around the world, the persecuted church, the U.S... Just an idea. But I want some ideas, please! Brainstorming by yourself isn't that fun!
But, I made this to help:
Do you like it? We could give it out to a whole bunch of Christian blogs! Is it good enough? Can anyone do a better job? If ayone wants to try, do it! And what do I mean by "Fighter?" : "Saving the world; fighting the culture." I would at least like it to say "Fighter of 2010, this is 2010 the next decade. this one is ours. www.theloooser.blogspot.com" (You don't have to say join or get outta' da way, I just kind of liked that). :)
Is it good enough that you would be willing to put it up on your side-bar, maybe do a post on it, and spend a few hours passing it on?
Kade
p.s. Do not take it yet! We are not organized! We need a method to this madness first! :)
